Physical Therapy for Rehabilitation and Recovery
Chiropractic care and physical therapy work very well as complementary therapies. Many chiropractors including our Palm Beach Gardens chiropractor choose to offer both therapies in conjunction so that patients will achieve maximum healing and long term relief. Chiropractic treatments and physical therapies are both drug-free therapies that work together to promote the body’s natural ability to heal and mend. In our office, we have to physical therapists working with Dr. Scuderi to design individual treatment plans for our patients.

Massage Therapy for Relief and Relaxation
Massage is hands on therapy that is frequently used as part of the physical therapy regimen. Massage therapy focuses on relaxing muscles and can be used prior to or after rehabilitation exercises. There are many types of massage available including Swedish massages, deep tissue massages and myofascial release or soft tissue mobilization. Each type is focused on addressing different types of symptoms. Our trained personnel at Garden Health and Wellness will assist individual patients with the proper types of massage therapy to aide in their wellness program.
Pilates Conditioning for Strength and Flexibility
Pilates is an exercise system that uses both mind and body; it is aimed at developing core control by building body strength and flexibility. Our physical therapist, Angela Calalang is also certified in Pilates. She earned a Pilates certification for rehab-practitioners from Polestar in 2002 and a Pilates mat certification from Power Pilates, NYC in 2003. By building and stretching muscles, Pilates can be used as an important component of a rehabilitation plan and physical therapy exercises. Pilates exercises are often used as part of the chiropractic treatment regimen as well to strengthen the core and build supporting muscle structure.
